Erie Gives

Thank you for your support of the History Center during Erie Gives.

With your gifts and the Bonus Bucks from the Erie Community Foundation, the History Center raised $27,390 with 112 donors.

These donations will fund our operational budget. Your support will sustain the 122-year legacy of the Erie County Historical Society and help the History Center develop new exhibits, provide educational opportunities for both adults and children, support field trips for students from first grade through college, and maintain the property and buildings.

Because of you, residents will learn more about our rich history, will realize their places in the development of our country, and will have a new appreciation and pride in Erie County.

Save the Date of August 11, 2026, for the 16^th annual Erie Gives

NEW THIS YEAR—thanks to the generosity of The Erie Community Foundation and Erie Gives sponsors, all credit card fees are completely covered! This means that 100% of your donation goes directly to the History Center.

Also, thanks to the generosity of the Erie Gives sponsors and the Foundation's Board of Trustees, there is a Bonus Bucks Pool this year. This is an extra way to make your donation go further!

There are several ways to give:

In Person

• Please bring your check and the completed Check Donation Form to The Erie Community Foundation at 459 West 6th Street, before Friday, August 8, 2025.
• They started accepting checks on July 7, 2025.
• Make sure to write a single check for the total amount payable to “The Erie Community Foundation,” and the Foundation will distribute your gift to your favorite nonprofits.
• Please note: If you give by check, there are no fees to the History Center.

By Mail

• You can mail your check to 459 West 6th Street, but we will need to receive your gift by Friday, August 8, 2025.
• Complete the Check Donation Form indicating the nonprofit you want to support and the donation amount.
• Write a check payable to “The Erie Community Foundation,” and the Foundation will distribute your gift to your favorite nonprofit.
• Mail your check and the completed Check Donation Form to The Erie Community Foundation, 459 West 6th Street, Erie, PA 16507.

Online

• Visit ErieGives.org
• Gifts will be accepted on August 12, 2025, beginning at midnight!
• Online donations can be made via credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa
• Minimum donation = $25

By Phone

• Call The Erie Community Foundation at 814.454.0843.
• Their friendly staff will answer our phone lines from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 12, 2025.
• Donations can be made by phone using your credit card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa)
• You will have the option to cover the credit card and platform fees giving your nonprofit more dollars.
• Minimum donation = $25.

Gift of Stock or IRA via Mail

• Talk to your professional advisor or banker who can help you.
• The deadline to initiate the transfer of stock or IRA distribution with your custodian directed to The Erie Community Foundation is Monday, August 11, 2025.
• Complete the Check Donation Form indicating the organization(s) and donation amount(s).
• Mail check and completed form to The Erie Community Foundation, 459 West 6th Street, Erie, PA 16507.
• The transfer of stock or distribution from your IRA should match the total amount you indicate on your mail-in form.
