Become an Intern

Are you passionate about history and excited to share your love of local stories with the community? We have multiple openings for hands-on internships that are perfect for students looking to gain real experience in the museum field while making a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

✨Lead and train others on interpretive museum tours

✨Write curriculum for on-site & off-site programs

✨Assist with volunteer scheduling & coordination

✨Support programming at the Girard Battles Campus

✨Help plan our Architecture Summer Camp

✨Assist with retail, marketing, and social media

✨Jump in on a variety of other museum functions

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Flexible (some nights & weekends required but we work around your work schedule, also)
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university
  • Majoring or minoring in History, Public History, Museum Studies, or Education
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working with the public
  • Creative and able to juggle multiple projects at once

Legal Requirements

Applicants must complete:

  • PA State Police Clearance
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
