Meet Marc Blucas, one of our honorees on Sept. 12

He currently stars as George Walter in the Netflix #1 global hit, My Life with the Walter Boys! and in the current season of Reacher, the #1 global hit on Amazon Prime.  You might also recognize him from Hallmark movies, and of course, many of us remember him as a star athlete at Girard High School.

Marc led the Girard Yellow Jackets to two Pennsylvania Boys AA State Championship teams with the second occurring in 1990 during an undefeated season. He earned all-state honors and received a sports scholarship to Wake Forest University leading the ACC for two 
years in three-point shooting percentage, and participating in four NCAA tournaments.

After graduating with a business degree and enrolled in law school, Blucas played professionally with England's Manchester Giants before an open casting opportunity and his on-court skills helped land his first film role in Eddie (1996).  After an early role in Gary Ross's Pleasantville, he broke out as Riley Finn on Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999–2000).

His notable film credits are extensive, having worked with some of the Hollywood’s biggest stars; Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Mel Gibson, Gwenyth Paltrow, Eddie Murphy, Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts, Jason Sudeikis, Sam Elliot, Vince Vaughn, Billy Bob Thorton, Katie Holmes and many others. He also starred in and co-produced the independent feature Unearth, created and filmed in Erie County, Pennsylvania.  

Marc lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in a historic 1700s farmhouse with his wife, Ryan Haddon and two daughters, four dogs, two cats, several chickens, two goats and a rabbit.
