Meet General James Dubik, one of our Sept. 12th honorees

With a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and education, James has earned national recognition. He is the son of Simon "Sam" and Sally Dubik and brother to four siblings. A graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School and Gannon University, General Dubik is a three-star Army general, commanding forces around the world and leading the training of Iraqi security forces during a pivotal period of the Iraq War.

He is a member of the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame, an accomplished author of Just War Reconsidered: Strategy, Ethics, and Theory, and co-author, along with General Gordon Sullivan, of Envisioning Future Warfare

He earned multiple masters degrees and a Ph.D. in philosophy at Johns Hopkins University.

He is the recipient of the 2017 Thomas B. Hagan Dignitas Award. He is an expert on leadership and national security. Following his military career, he served as a professor, senior fellow, and advisor on matters of strategy and ethics.

General Dubik is married with two daughters.
